Friday's Finest: 4 Analytics Tools Worth Checking Out

As a Social Strategist, I always have my eye open for new ways to improve my consultancy processes and systems, so that I can service my clients better.  Here are five tools that I've started exploring this week that look promising.

Plusya

Plusya gives you a short URL for your Google Plus (Google+) profile. It's reminds me a bit of bit.ly, but where bit.ly usernames tend to get picked up fast, Plusya may still have your username available. The tool helps you share, track, and analyze profile traffic, so you can get insights on your G+ traffic. (It's free!)

Campalyst

Campalyst is social analytics software that helps you understand whether their fans convert into customers. The tools allows you to measure the revenues and conversions from your social media presence, and help you tweak your Facebook efforts,  so that you can increase the ROI of your social media efforts.

SocialReport

Social Report is an analytics solution that will track your social accounts pretty much the same way you track your websites. Visitors, time on site, keywords, geography and many other areas of the web can be tracked.  You are also able to track membership, demographics, interests, geography, education, employment and many other components of your social space.

Watch the 10 min video on the site. Very cool.

SocialFlow

SocialFlow is a tool that helps you increase click-throughs, ReTweets, mentions, sharing and organic follower growth, on Twitter, Facebook and Google Buzz.

It listens to see what your audience is interested in and saying in real time, then matches your tweets and posts with your audience's interests in real time, sending out the message at a time that will get the most attention and action.

Have you tried any of these tools before? And what new analytics tools have you tested out recently?

  5. Wow! I haven't heard of any of these tools before, Dave! Thanks so much for the review! Lately, I've been looking into who my readers are and whether they can potentially be turned into customers and how, so this post has come at the perfect time. =)

  9. Homework is a good thing!  Esp since you gave us a head start Dave.  I really appreciate you sharing list like this.  It really makes my life a wee bit easier and I'm grateful!

  10. Dave, you are amazing when it comes to sharing rare finds!

I think the SocialFlow one is of particular interest.  While I have an abundance of data analytics and correlation tools, this one seems to be more about linking insight with action..  REAL engagement.  I may have to pick your brain on that one, bud.

BTW, PlusYa has come in pretty handy.  Now I have a shortened URL on PlusYa and GPlus.to as well!

    Keep on rockin', brotha! 8)

  11. Just tried Plusya recently, and it works great. Might also try what someone else recommended. Making something like smartboydesigns.com/plus point to Google+. It's more brandable, even if a tad longer.
