This really left me thinking about writing and commenting and how out of the loop I feel! I never realized how much of a business blogging is, and how much marketing is going on. Honestly I don't care how honest or sincere someone is. But that's just because I never find out! LOL! There must be a lot of fear fueling some of the habits you talked about. I'm definitely as weak and vulnerable as the next person, but the overall message I'm hearing is that if we don't have, find or pretend the courage to just be ourselves and know that if we really care we WILL grow over time all we will ever end up doing is writing and creating hoping someone else will do the hard stuff for us. And that there are no short cuts. I'm really distracted because my little one is talking to me and I can't focus! But maybe I'll have time (NOT) to listen again! Anyways, it is important to comment, but I agree, DON'T comment to support me. I can feel the insincerity. Yuck! I'll like you even if you don't like my blog. And I might like your blog and find something useful there even if you find nothing of value in mine. It's like getting offended 'cause a guy doesn't shop in my lingerie store...bad example! Weirdos do! You finish my thought. I got you started!

Hey Betsy,

Ultimately it's being comfortable in you own skin, being able to give without expectation and do it in a sincere fashion. I agree with you as well, and would like to add that it is the recipe of caring + action that equals our growth.
When it comes to blogging, even is someone doesn't comment, they may very well be talking to about you to others. We so very often measure things in the first degree of separation, me to them, instead of realizing the impact and how it can spread. Very much like a creating ripples in the water.
I appreciate you leaving me a comment. And I'm REALLY happy you got value from the podcast :)
