When you make a decision or take action on something, ask yourself, did you really come to that decision on your own, or were you influenced by someone? I'm not talking about blatant advertising, commercials, or push marketing. I'm referring to covert factors that are intentionally placed in your path to influence you.
Everyday in mainstream media we hear about pre-meditated events of catastrophic nature and ask ourselves, "How could anyone do such at thing?".
Fair question. But let's dare to challenge ourselves for a second on that classic response. What if those individuals were perfectly, everyday, "normal" people, who were influenced by outside factors, such as NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), social engineering, or covert hypnosis. Sound a bit far fetched? I thought so myself until I began watching a series of Derren Brown's videos, which then lead me to do some research on it.
Watch this first video to see what it's about. Then watch the second and third video and ask yourself "what if this was not in a controlled environment, and occurred in a real world environment?"
**Note: The second and third video could be a bit disturbing for some.**
We can't live life in a state of constant paranoia and concern, but we can make it a point to be aware of what we take in.
